Default Stretch Masks

Has anyone had any experience with the stretch masks for the front bumper/hood?
I have seen them at a few rallies on C5's and they look like a nice way to protect the paint from bugs and rocks.
I like the look better than the traditional leather ones and hope to hear from users of these with pros or cons.
The material looks like a stretchy Spandex fabric.
If so, that stuff works pretty well on my wife when she works out and I haven't noticed any abrasions on her after wearing it.

Ive got one on my car and I love it!On in about 2 minutes, off the same. The only down side was the hardware it came with.I bought an off brand and the hardware was total crap.It comes with snaps that have a sheet metal screw thats suppose to thread into an 8/32 nut, aint gonna happen.I spent all day running around town putting together something that would work.Do yourself a favor and buy the original,it might be $40 more but most likely comes with the correct hardware.[IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG]

They're pretty good; but don't use it in the rain - when it gets wet (i.e., heavy with water) it stretches out and will rub your paint. And take it off if it gets dirty (sandy/dusty). Wash it by hand or in the machine on delicate by itself. Line dry. After about a year or so it will wear out (stretch) and you'll need to stop using it.

My experience on my C6.
