Default Windshield Glare

I was driving around in my 94 today, and I found that sunlight reflecting off the dash would then reflect off the windshield - and produce *lots* of glare.

Has anyone else seen this? Did I go overboard with the Armorall?

Yes, and yes.

I believe the angle of the windshield really contributes to this glare.
And the "shinny" Armor All just makes it worse.

Default Armor All can create glare

I do not use any type of silicon protection on the dash pad because of the glare issue. I owned a Toyota MR2 that had armor all on its dash and the glare was near dangerous. A clean rag with water is all I use on my C4. Works well although it appears dull.

Yup and probavly too much Armorall. It's a typical C4 issue with the 64 degree raked windshield. You can buy a dash mat. Those help. Had one in the 84 I had.

I had the same issue and I installed a black dash pad. No glare.

I just started using that 303 protectent and it doesn't give off near as much glare as armorall, and it's a lot easier to remove the dust now that gets on there. I think I'm going to order a dash pad anyway to help prevent UV damage as the plan for now anyway is to keep this car for a very long time.
