Default Hello C4 Owners

Hey whats new, decided to post here to see what you guys recommend.

My Father in law used to own one of these beauties, and to be honest it was in ok shape. I was ready to drop in some mods
and begin to start a project since he was going to give this awsome
car to his daughter (My Gal). But I have no clue why he sold the car.
Now im left with a desire of owning a C4.

Any comments on what year to get?

What year is good? What to look out for when purchasing a used
model?... Thanks

I think the year is a personal preference. I happened to have a friend that had a '95 for sale, that he took very good care of, so I bought it.

It could have been any year, I just wanted a C4. As to what to look out for, check out this website, it is pretty good:

Good Hunting

I'm sure if money were no object, a clean 95-96 would be the way to go. Looking at $10k up for a nice one needing nothing ($15k-ish for a 96 LT4). Early LT1's in the $5-$12k range depending on Vert or coupe and obviously mileage, condition etc.

If you're wanting to do engine mods, seems like there's more out there for the L98 (85-91), and can pick them up anywhere from $2-$10k.

Just get one that has nice paint and interior, as to get this redone right can easily cost more than the car is worth.

I'm selling mine for $6000. It's really nice.
