C4 body kit? (Several Pictures!)
Im contemplating on a body kit for the 87, just curious what everyone thinks...! I would like to clean up the back of the car a little and I really don't want to lower the car any so this might be an alternative. I did some research and didn't see and related threads to this, don't know if it is good or bad! The C4 to C5 is interesting and I found it for just under $1,000 (youtube video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQZpwOLtYew and link to page http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1984-...#ht_5008wt_941 )

IMHO Those kits look kinda on the ugly side. If you want to upgrade the looks of your Vette get the Callaway areobody.

Just looked and the Callaway kits run over 7 grand for the one that fits 84-96 L98 Im out on 7g's! Didn't some early C4's come out factory with some kind of ground effects kit?

The C5 conversion just doesn't work. You will be ridiculed and laughed at for as long as you own the car. As for the rest, it's your car.

This brings up a new Thread Idea, Why doesn't CF have a C4 of the month award and let the forum members vote on the winner?! This car would have my vote

Well I have a really good C4 and little to nothing in it, so I really don't want to spent the 10k+ getting a C5 not to mention I enjoy the little tinkering I can do on my 87. So needless to so the c5 conversion is OUT. On a side note I really am getting fond of just the ground effect kit (similar to the one above)

I'm not exactly the most politically correct person on the forum but I really try not to say negative things about someone elses car. I realize that different people have different tastes.
Now, with that said... the C5 kit is one of the worst ideas ever. For the cost of the original C4 plus what it costs to put that body on it (the right way) you are really close to being able to actually go buy a C5 at today's prices.
As strange as it might sound since I actually have a Greenwood bodied C4, a vast majority of the time I really don't like them. But just like everything else... it's your car. Do what you think looks the best and be happy with it. No matter what choice you make somebody here will be glad to tell you it is the wrong one.
I do love the Callaway Aerobody though... I'm always on the lookout for one to pop up used.
My Greenwood... it also has molded in fender flairs on the front and rear that make a big difference in my opinion.

ZR-1 look?!?!?!?!?!
That looks less like a ZR1 than a stock C4!
And yes... the hood is
I have seen a lot of random body parts on cars and the old saying is true. You get what you pay for. Keep that in mind when buying something as major as an entire body kit. I know nothing about that company but I'm guessing if they can sell an entire body kit for that price... the quality, fit, and finish is going to be absolutely terrible.
