I know this may be a bit vague but does anyone know what kind of hp and torque one would be looking at in an automatic 1988 (l98) corvette if a 383 stroker was made out of the existing 350? I know the cam was changed to a mild modification with of course some porting and piston changes. A new cat back exhaust will also be put on. The rockers were also changed to be more aggressive. I'm just looking for ball park figures not exact numbers. Of course the car was all stock prior to the upgrades with I believe a hp of 245 and torque of approx. 350 were stock numbers. Thanks for the help.
Hey REDLS1GTO thanks for the responce. I know the info is vague I dont have much of the particulars yet that' s why I was only looking for ballpark figures. I'm not very experienced with all the mods as of yet, I will have a better idea tomorrow but was trying to get a feel for what one could expect. I guess I'm a bit excited about it and was trying to get a better idea from people who would know. I hear that the intakes are restrictive on these cars so I didnt know how it that would effect the numbers of a 383.
Don't look at raw Hp numbers ;
compare the graphs for how each intake style affects where the engine makes best power and torque
Long runner ( TPI style ) intakes make massive bottom end but don't rev

Holding everything else constant, going from a 350 to a 383 is going to improve your results about 10%. So, if you do mods that would have raised the 350 to 300hp, adding the 383 in would raise hp AND tq another 30hp/30tq.
The difference is every power level in increased. Some mods/bolt-ons gradually add in power until a peak is hit where it's measured. Adding more cubes, on the other hand, kicks it in the butt EVERYWHERE.
