Good evening. Has anyone used the speaker brackets from the early C4's on the later C4's? Specifically the non-bose ones that look like they will fit an aftermarket 6x9 speaker. Are there any issues with speaker mounting, monting the speker plate in the car, or attaching the stock speaker grille? FYI, I have a 1992 and would like to use brackets like the one in the link below.

Well, I used the 91 speaker grilles on my 86. It was because I bought a carpet set from a 91, and the speaker holes were already cut. It looks great.
My 86 bose system still works fantastic for a 25 year old radio. No problems after I changed the speaker relay. none nada zip.
But if you are interested, i can sell you a pair to cut up .... to tinker with for $10 each, before you cut into the good ones, and a decent pair for $45. I'd say they were an 8 out of 10.
