Default Finally back into a C4!!

Well, after selling my 92 LT1, going to an 01 Z06, and then the LT4 Firehawk, I'm finally getting back in a C4. And to make it even better, it's a ZR-1!!!
Flying out tomorrow night to Vegas and picking up the car Saturday. Can't wait, it's gonna be a fun drive back to Dallas over the weekend!

Text from sale ad:
What's new in the past 1000-10,000 miles (front to back):

1- radiator, hoses, belt, tensioner, water pump, battery

2- cam chain tensioners (both), a/c compressor and all components, alternator, all vacuum hoses, starter, injectors, all fuel seals, everything under the plenum

3- brake calipers (GS), rotors (drilled/slotted), performance pads, ball joints, all hubs, A-mold wheels, tires are 70-80% (GSC's and Yoko AVS sports)

4- complete clutch assembly (including pressure plate), ALL U-joints, 4:10 gears, ALL bushings, grommets, and rubber parts

5- windshield, ALL weatherstripping and door seals, Lexan top (still have old one)

6- Bose head unit, steering wheel support stuff and locking mechanisms, new fan motor for strong a/c blow

7- more little stuff I can't remember but have receipts for (all the typical stuff that wears out is replaced).

The good added stuff:

Top end ported and polished; injector housings and plenum, performance chip..all Corey Henderson, and all powdercoated black by Jeff Flint (plus water pipes, cam covers, and TB) and stainless steel bolts. Borla exhaust; 4:10 Dana Viper rear; showable engine compartment. Front bra for those road trips without worrying about rock damage; both K&N and paper air filter with new recharge kit; removable top panel inner shield for those super hot days; dark tinted windows (may not be legal in some states); can't even remember what else. JUST HAD INTERIOR DETAILED AND SHAMPOOED.

Sorry....I think it has about 111,000 on the clock, but the ODO reads high with the 4:10 gears so it's probably about 108 or 109K.

You know, I've really missed owning a C4 ever since I got rid of my 92. The Z06 was an incredible car, but it just didn't "feel" like a "sports car". To be able to get back to a C4 with a ZR-1 is definitely a dream come true. I've always wanted one, and am really looking forward to driving this one home.

I sure see a lot of folks who go to a C5 and then come back.

Congrats, now you got me thinking and that's not always good, especially on the wallet.

I was seriously thinking about the one on Ebay until I found mine. It's several grand more than what I paid for mine, but similar mods and better exterior condition. My only concern would be to make sure they have the maintenance records on it. I really just couldn't pass on mine with all the maintenance that's been done on it.

I saw that one...it's been repainted. Maybe due to accident, or maybe due to the searing hot sun in Phoenix... I've never had luck finding cars in Arizona- even when I lived there.

I'm biding my time trying to decide on a clean '91 or spend a bit on a '94 if I can find one. I somewhat considered getting one with 100k miles on it, but maybe not for my first one. Probably won't get one before Christmas.

"I've heard it said that a-way."

From Sling Blade... I love that Movie.
Vaughan Cunningham: I'm just going to say it. I'm gay. Does that surprise you that I'm gay? You know what gay is, don't you?
Karl: I don't reckon.
Vaughan Cunningham: [quietly] Homosexual. I like men sexually.
Karl: Not funny 'ha-ha', funny queer.
Vaughan Cunningham: Well that's a very offensive way to put it. You shouldn't say that. You were taught that, weren't you?
Karl: I've heard it said that a-way.
