Default C4 running lean?

First let me apoligize if I have posted in the wrong forum, but I am a newby and I wasn't sure which one to post it in...

My C4 is giving a code 44..

44- oxygen sensor or circuit - lean exhaust detected

The service engine light doesn't stay on... It just pops up every once in awhile then goes back off..

Has anyone (by any chance) deakt with this before and could give my a few things I should look first on it? It seems to run fine with a brief hesitation now and then.... It did seem to rev up and down a little while at an idle, but that seem to have gone away since I replace the relays.. Thanks for any info/help & sorry again if I posted in the wrong forum..

Check fuel pressure. Tape the gauge to the windshield and drive it. Watch the gauge if your check engine light goes on. Was there a drop in fuel pressure?

Change the O2 sensor (may be the problem).

Something like a leak in the exhaust or intake can also lean out the motor and trigger an intermittent code 44.

It does seem like it has a louder air intake than most cars, but of course this is the 1st Vette I have ever owned so it may be normal
