When I went up to see the car I may buy I noticed the gas level was more then full, but the range was showing around 19. Not sure if it is going bad.
The current owner also has an analog tach in the passenger side area against pretty close to where the radio sits. I do not like it and would actually prefer to hook up the stock electronic tach but I am concerned about how accurate it may be. He had the tach on the dash then took it off of there. In that model it seems hard to find areas for extra gauges.

Other gauges seem to be pretty close in my 89. IMO

Well, like almost every car I've calibrated the speedo in, it reads 2-3
MPH high at freeway speeds. I presume this is so you don't sue GM
when you get a ticket. I generally use a WAAS-enabled GPS (about
0.1 MPH accuracy, and a stopwatch/measured mile.
The MPG meter reads with 1 MPG of actual.
Are you sure that's range and not MPG?

No, they were from the guy who invented Atari. Kidding aside, I like the digital dash.
My experience was short lived in the 89. It was back in 89 and my father took the car out one day and traded it on a Lincoln. Apparently his back was bothering him that day.

My 87 speedometer is accurate according to my GPS. as far as I know the rest are accurate enough with the exception of the avg. fuel mileage. The conversion from L/100 km to mpg. is way out.
