Default Rear led tailights

MERRY CHRISTMAS CF FRENS...
My son bought me a set of Rear LED lights for my 96 c4, took all the bulbs out and install the kit... led in the lens with a tail looking like the bottom side of a bulb, anyway my problem is when i installed them , i now have no blinkers ..
I have running lights, stop lights and emergency flasher, but no blinkers... i removed and relaced with stock type bulbs and it blinks, anybody with an idea, could it be that i need another or differant flasher??

This mod is on my "to do" list.

You will need an electronic flasher as there is little or no load on the bi-metalic spring in a standard flasher due to minimal current draw with the led's.

On my `87 there is two flashers that I had to replace. One is behind the DIC, & the other is behind the passenger side dash. Not sure about the `96 model though.

I have a 96 , I have the LED tailights too... I only had to change the turn signal flasher which is under the dash on the drivers side just remover the knee bolster cover.

I did not have to change my hazard flasher, which near the radio / DIC .

When I installed the LEDs in my 93 I tried a electronic flasher from CorvetteHID and it didn't work. I threw that away and went to Advance Auto and picked up a heavy duty flasher and that took care of turn signal situation.

You need the electronic flasher. To get to it is a PITA. It will take longer to get to it than exchange flashers.

Hey Ol School, are the late tailights the same as the early, i.e. no screws on the lens and a complete b.....d to change ?
if so what method did you use to change them ?
I have had my left tailight bulb go out (twice) and have changed them from underneath, but now the flasher bulb is gone out and Im not sure how to get at that one !

Go to a parts store and buy and install an EL12 flasher. You'll need one for the emergency flasher too. OEM flashers work on current, high current, fast flash rate, low current, slow or no flashing. The EL12 doesn't depend on lamp current to flash.
