jack point on a c4
Do you want the entire car off the ground on jack stands? If so, look under the rocker panels about midway between the jacking arrows. On each side of the car there is a small threaded stud that holds the fuel lines on the right side and brake lines on the left. The pinch weld for the bottom frame runs just behind the lip of the rocker panel.
Use a floor hack with a flat saddle and raise the entire car at a point just ahead of these studs. Place jack stands either between the jacking arrows or to the outside of them. The go to the other side of the car and raise that side. Go back and forth to get the car up as high as needed and safely supported.
I can get my 87 about 18" off the ground in 5 minutes including hauling out the 4 jack stands and the floor jack.

the engine if you run the front tires up on a couple of
pieces of 2x10 or better 2x12. The local (non-chain)
lumber yard gave me a couple of pieces of scrap for
free (Morgan Hill is still a small town). If you want to
get really fancy, fabricate a double thickness so it's
about three inches thick.

Thanks for using the search function for us PLRX. I will never be confused about jacking up my vette anymore.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

I wish Mike would go and pick me up, bring me to 1999 for me to start the very first Jack Point thread in the CF. Then, I would ask savewave to make it a sticky.
