Question for Mr mojo
When I picked up my 96 collector edition in june of 96 at the museum I saw a 96 collector edition parked toward the side of the factory. This car if it was for real was a LT4 automatic, I couldn't see under the hood so it could be a automatic with LT4 stickers on it. Any thoughts on what could be the only LT4 automatic in existance (out of the factory that is not LT4 with a swapted tranny)
LT4 never came with at Auto, if it has an auto, it didnt come with it. Or maybe the owner put an LT4 hotcam and heads/intake in there and decided to call it an a LT4.

Re: Question for Mr mojo (vader86)
The fact that I saw it parked in the exec area of the factory lead me to believe it might be a one of a kind built special for a high level GM factory exec

Re: Question for Mr mojo (Scoob)
The car was parked in front of the big shot parking area, I was able to see the interior, which was auto, I saw the LT-4 emblem on the car but I couldn't see under the hood. It was either an LT-4 auto or a LT1 with a LT4 emblem. I've always wondered if it was a real LT4 auto. The only reason I heard it wasn't made in a auto was that GM had to go through a separate emissions, certification and didn't want to incur the extra expense, sombody high up enough in the GM orginization may have put in a special order and been important enough to have them bend the rules for him.
