Interior Dye Question
I just did a search on interior dye but timed out. If there's a thread already dedicated to this, please show me. Otherwise.. What do you think of it? Does it work well? My carpets are all pretty nice - but I hate the color. I'd like to dye it all black (like my new seats which are coming in a few weeks). Has anyone done this that's really happy with it? Or, very unhappy?

I changed my whole interior from brown to black (and yellow). Some parts I bought new in black, some I dyed. I bought new door panels, but dyed the arm rests. I preped everything as instructed, and used the flexible coating interior paint from SEM. The color and everything turned out perfect. The only problem I have had is that the dyed surfaces are subject to chips and scratches. The drivers side arm rest will need touching up soon.
My point is, whatever you dye will probably never be quite as durable as a new piece in the proper color! Good luck!

Works ok, it wares off on high ware spots, be sure to clean off all areas with a mild degreaser. Hope this helps
