Melting Slicks
The Z52 had the Z51 equipment except the springs were the base ones and could be ordered with either transmissions. The Z51 starting in 87 was restricted to the manual transmissions.

The Z52 didn't get the PS cooler and the shocks were the Bilstein Sport shocks. Z51 had stiffer Bilstein shocks. Base suspension car got an AC Delco shock.
The Z51 also got heavy duty offset lower control arm bushings. The Z52 rear sway bar was slightly smaller in diameter. But both Z51 and Z52 got the same size front bar.
Z52 was available on the convertible but Z51 was coupe only. Z51 and Z52 came with 16x9.5" wheels all around while the base car had 16.x8.5" wheels up front.
