Default 1992 corvette vs 2007 impala ss

Just curious to see what car would win in a drag race and on a road course. My 1992 corvette convertible auto 40,000 miles or a 2007
impala ss auto 100,000 miles? both cars are stock btw

thx 2 all

The vette will def out handle the impala on the road course, however in a drag race, those LSX Impalas are quick, and I know I get NO traction with my 85 tpi vette, so I dont know how well you will do then. Then again, one way to find out....

DIMENSIONS:
Wheelbase: 110.5 in
Length: 200.4 in
Width: 72.9 in
Height: 58.5 in
Curb weight: 3764 lb

C/D TEST RESULTS:
Zero to 60 mph: 5.6 sec
Zero to 100 mph: 13.9 sec
Zero to 130 mph: 28.5 sec

And you do not think that is quick when you figure those times, are not to far off of most C4 Vettes, especially the TPIs? IMO, thats quick.... now I never said FAST.....

0-60 in 4.9 seconds is LT4 performance if I'm not mistaken.

You live in Pittsburgh, PA right. (GO STEELERS), next spring head to Pittsburgh Raceway Park and race the car. You might see me there, your Corvette should smoke the Impala SS no problem. I have driven those V8 W-Body cars, good luck launching it with Front wheel drive. Although, burn out are really easy and cool.

FYI, I do not know what my 0-60 time is but my best 1/4 mile time for my 6 speed LT1 is 13.52@108.83MPH. 60 foot was crappy 2.28 (I CANNOT DRIVE). NOTE TRAP SPEED!!! Basically Stock, K&N, Cut Lid, Catback with X pipe and muffler eliminators.

Those front drive impalas are ill-handling torque steering p's o s. I rented a 6 cyl one a couple of years back and it actually felt like I was going to lose control while I switched lanes at full throttle accel on the freeway.

I'd give the C4 the road course win by a mile.
