I can honestly say that I've never seen that done before.

My '94 polo green 'vert has gold-colored decal pinstriping all around. I sort of thought that was a standard feature for the color, but haven't seen any polo green cars to compare.

Do other polo green C4s have it? It doesn't look too bad, really.

I like the color combo but that striping on the front just draws my eyes to the belt line seam.
rather than going all the way across I'd prolly end it at the hood line.

I don't believe there was any sort of pinstriping option for the C4. I have never seen one in any RPO listings. (maybe someone else has different info)

In any case, my '92 polo green convertible doesn't have any striping.

Mine must have been dealer-installed, then. The decal follows the body curves very well, so it appears to be a pre-cut kit rather than a custom job.

If you do, put it on YouTube and give us a heads-up so we don't miss it.

As the original OP, I sort of agree with ya! I really didn't notice until I read your comment here. The stripes are painted and not factory as I have the original sticker and most of the paperwork, but not the bill of sale. I'm the third owner and I can see where "initials" were applied to both doors and then "compunded" off, so that leads me to believe that the stripes were part of the original purchase.

Appreciate your comment!

Default Are you serious

GM Chevrolet and Corvette have NEVER to my knowledge offered pinstriping on any Corvette.

They never offered rear window louvres either THANK GOD !!!!!

The exception may be some 2 tone paintwork eg(78 Anniversary)cars that separated silver from black with a narrow stripe.

This is mine, Sailorsteve.
I just assumed it was a factory thing, and didn't ask the PO about it. I like the look, though, because the plain polo green cars I have seen are pretty drab. (And yes, I know the wheels are on backwards.)

As an aside, I have scored an OEM hardtop for this car, but it came in torch red. I don't want to paint it green to match the car, since I want to keep some of the convertible look. So it will be a contrasting color like the saddle cloth top, but not that same brown. I've been photoshopping this image to get a good combo, but all I have come up with is universal white and maybe a very light mint green. Any other suggestions would be welcome.

I wish I could pinstripe, it does look nice if it's kept understated.

Anciano-

Nice looking car! It looks like the rear of the car is higher than normal- is this a mod?

Re the wheels- I think they're fine. The car is just facing the wrong way, is all.

Not by me, but I know what you mean. When I got the car I thought it was too low in the front, and found a cracked front spring which I replaced along with bushings and ball joints. However, it didn't change the stance at all. I still feel like the front is too low (rather than the rear too high) and may try to address it some other way -- and I guess shimming it up IS the only way. I hate to get under that sumbitch again, though, and even more hate to screw up a recent $60 alignment. I guess I'll live with it until tire replacement or some other event.
