Seat Mod
Here is one. It is not perfect and I may buy enough to do a 3rd back to replace this one later if the stuff holds.
What do you think?
Did the second one, Also not perfect but better then this one. I have vinyl left to do some other parts if I so choose..
the stuff I used is 3M DI-NOC
I got it from Carbon Fiber Film

Looks good to me. Once it is back in the car you will not notice the imperfections as you do now. Post pics when they are back in the car.

It turned out really good. That stuff is thicker than normal vinyl wrap and real durable. I have some interior pieces on my truck done in di-NOC.

Nicely done. Using that material is pretty popular on the BMW boards.

yeah the seat backs looked kind of plain without it..
this stuff is subtle enough to not stand out but you look and can tell something is different

That looks awesome! I like it.
Its hard to tell from the pic, but does it have a 3D effect and look like real CF or doe it look like vinyl?

Jeff, how is the adhesive to work with? can you pull the vinyl tight without over sticking to the item you're working on?

for the first time it was not bad. you can pull it and if youneed to pull the vinyl up while working with, it is not too bad. I tad bit of heat is good for it too, but too much and it will melt. I used a heat gun which I felt was too much heat, I think a blow dryer would be plenty of heat, you just need it flexible enough to work with

The best part, it's textured and not just a print.
