I don't really pay attention to people anymore when I drive mine.
Its allot more fun for me that way.
I just keep my eyes out for trouble.
My One thing that I don't like (and that's in any car) is "tailgaters" and lane "swayers" (People who don't stay in their lane without a signal).
Now that I got my new louder Exhaust, people seem to give me alittle more room when they hear the Zroom Zroom Zroooom !

I started a post similar to this one a few weeks ago and hopefully some will remember it. I wont repost but in a nut shell this kid in his Grandma's Lexus pulls up along side of me and wants to race. When I said that all I did when he hit the third honk was to look over, laugh, and wave as he shot ahead at a snails pace I was told I was "Too old" and I needed to see it from another younger person's perspective and all that kid would remember is that I was a total jerk for not running him. To tell you the truth, I am at the end of the line of seeing it from another person's perspective. Yes, I am getting older and I would not want to go back to my younger years especially in this day and age. But with that being said, why doesn't the younger crowd see things from the perspective of us "Older Generation" types. We have done our part, now it's time to get off the milk and get on the meat.
I guess I'm approaching more middle aged now and I don't really see the point to owning a Corvette or any performance car in general for that matter if your not going to have some fun with it. (stop light drag racing, autocrossing....)
If all your going to do is drive around like a grandma I don't see the point to owning the one of these cars. Why not just drive a Prius? Maybe the "older" gen can fill me in
I'm still interested in a reply from someone with that gets the opposite use for a Corvette than what I do.
I'm 32 years old and I still stop light race punk kids, drift round-abouts and corners on rainy days, do redline shifts up to 3rd getting on the highway........

I will not race my car at all. My car has too much history for me to take a chance at destroying it.
On that note, if I owned a "regular" corvette, then yes I'd race/autocross the hell out of it. I'm hoping to pick up a driver for this purpose in a few years!

I love to run my car will jump it on to the freeway and open it up on a good clear road where the only danger is me getting a ticket. ( live in the bonnies) Evan like the curves I own a house by the dragon tail and all the roads around there are winding. And know where the cops hide. But light raceing 32 year old punk kids is out. No one has the right to endanger others lives!
