Default exhaust extensions

Has anyone installed the stainless steel exhaust extensions
on their 85 to 96 corvette. They are $50 in mid america.

How do they look and are they really stainless steel?
Are they hard to install?

Any comments would be appreciated

Thanks

I'm not sure which ones you are looking at, but these were in the same price range, are definately stainless and no issue to install at all. Mine were from CorvCntrl

They can't be the same extensions for 85-96. 92 up are LT1 exhaust tips (rectangle) and I can tell you they look really stupid on the LT1. $50 down the drain since you have to drill/tap a screw in them.

I made my own from aluminum tube. I cut them to size, expanded the tube a little to fit over the existing pipes from the mufflers and use a buffer with rouge to polish them like chrome. Cost $16 and time. Used rivets to secure them to the mufflers.
