Re-doing Targa Top
Has anyone ever redone there targa top, replacing the tinted glass with a cloth/canvass covering to look like a convertible using an original frame, maybe putting in a billet aluminum brace in the middle for additional strength as compared to the soft top available from several suppliers? I would think it would be lighter and thus easier to remove and possibly with stand higher highway speeds than the one listed in the catalogs. Any thoughts??

Yes. I like that Idea too.
Especially if it can be fitted with 'levers' like the older style convertible tops had instead of bolts holding it in place.
Just reach up, flip the levers and remove the top!
