Where does this plug go?
I have a Haynes manual but have not been able to match it to any wiring diagram.
Thanks for the help.
drawn from an '84.
I'll have a look at my '87 FSM when I get home tonight,
if nobody has chimed in by then.
BTW, once you think you have everything plugged back
in, and before you start bolting covers back on, start
and drive the car. There are a lot of wiring oopses
(plugs not seated, etc) that one could make in the
dash, and you don't want to have to take it all apart
again.
You won't get any audio if the relay is not installed.
'87 FSM shows the Amp Relay with:
Pink with Black at A
Black at B
Pink at C
Orange at D.
No mention of an E which appears to be empty in your pic.
A and D wires are 14 ga., B and C 18 gauge.
All of the above is consistent with your picture.
'87 FSM shows the Amplifier relay as "behind instrument
panel, to the right of radio.
The picture shows it as fairly high and fairly close
to the firewall. Wires come up from underneath.

(at least from the '87 FSM) is going to be somewhere
under the silver brace in the upper left corner of the
picture.
It will be forward of the big bundle that goes to the
fuse block, maybe a bit above.
Sure would be nice if the FSM had holographic pictures.
Maybe in the C8 FSM. ;-) Or maybe a virtual reality
FSM? And let me into my RPOs, and cut out all the
unrelated junk.
That said, FSMs are a LOT better than they were in
1972.

Thanks for the help, I can finish up the work on the interior with a bit of confidence that I did not leave something out or worry about a dash fire at some later date. I intend to insulate the exposed contacts, just in case.
