I do not have access to a hose at the condo where i live
what is the best for cleaning saw blade wheels of brake dust
between washes? Is windex safe? Any suggestions
I'd just use a small pail of water with a sponge and car wash soap. Better yet, bring the soapy water premixed in a spray bottle, a second spray bottle of clean rinse water. Spray with soapy water, wipe with a damp sponge, spray with rinse water, wipe with a soft towel.
I would use car wash soap on your wheels. I think that they have a clear coat on them that may be damaged by strong chemicals. I wash my wheels from the same bucket that I use on the painted surfaces.

If there's a self service car wash near you bring the car there to do the wheels. And next time you need brake pads invest in a good set of ceramic pads, eliminates a lot of dust.
I got a microfiber cloth covered sponge with a handle at Kragen's, I think they call it Reilly's now. It has a four inch handle. microfiber cloth covered sponge is about five inches long by two inches wide, and an inch and a half deep. Used with soapy water it cleans out the saw blades very fast.
I would not use paper towels as they are abrasive.
