Noisy Brake Caliper
My right front caliper rattles when I hit a bump or when I brake. Checked the bolts and they are tight, but caliper is loose and can be moved by hand. Any ideas?

If the 2 mounting bolts are tight (the ones that hold the mounting bracket to the hub assembly) ,then I'm thinking a broken / loose guide pin on the bottom....the ones that hold and position the pads. :confused:

I had the exact same problem with the left side of my car. I just changed the brakes yesterday and now the problem is gone. While looking at the old pads from the noisy side I noticed that the metal spring clip that holds the pad into the caliper was broken off. That same pad was also worn much more than the others.

Its likely the caliper pins they wear right where the pads hit them and allow the pads to move. Its a typical 88-up problem. When i went to get mine i was told most vetttes need them and it was the fix for me too. :smash:
