I have a 1992 without a Bose system. I want to replace all four speakers any suggestions as to what type speaker I should get? Anywhere one can go and find speakers that fit without modifications to the existing locations? Thanks for the help
I don't know if there is one you can get without mods. Go to Crutchfield and start looking around. They have a feature that will tell you if they fit. You may also want to call them.
In the C4 I had I put 6x9 Infinity's in the back and 5 1/4 in the front. For the money you can't beat them. but all you really need is the 6x9 in the back. They will give you all you need in a car this small. IMO
I have a pair of Pioneer 6x9 3way speakers in storage. Is my '91 non-Bose factory radio powerful enough to drive these? Will I need special connectors to use them with the existing wiring? I listen mostly to oldies, jazz, and vocals. No loud and blasting music.
your system will drive the speakers you have and the wiring should be fine. Just make sure the Ohms ratings are the same.
What is the ohm rating of the standard rear speakers used in the '91 vette? The Pioneers I have are about 8 years old. Is there quick way to find the ohm rating on the Pioneers?
I just removed a set of Eclipse Point Source SP8962 6" round speakers with woofers from my 91, and restored my bose system (had an after market radio in and took it out) the speakers were installed in the orginial locations in the convertible, and are in good shape I have them on e-bay for 90.00 plus shipping just let you know they worked well. tks GG
