Is a 2 ton hoist needed for the lt-1 remove?

No, the LT1 weighs less than 500lbs

After re-welding everything.....

Why not rent a hoist? They are available at any equipment rental place and can be taken down for transport. They will typically be a 2-ton or more capacity and be very well made. Might even be able to rent one at auto parts stores like AutoZone or O'Reilly's.

No, they will hold. I've used mine for the engine, a 4 banger tranny and for other stuff.

I was going to rent but, needed to rent couple of times and at the end it would cost money and no hoist. I bought it on a 50% sale and got me an extra 10% discount because I told the lady at the register how beautiful she was

Once I got done with it, its parked in my garage. Its there waiting for my next project..."The PLRX Clone" This is a long-long term goal
