So my car needs a new chip =\
The other day my car was running crappy(low rpm qt idle, would rpm to 0 and shut off)(low rpm ing at stop light, running At like a 25rpm instead of a 15 or something) I posted a thread all on it, and then after filling up gas tank, the car died again while going down a hill so I said screw it and brought it to the shop(we've had all our work done here for years). They read the service engine code, found an error within the chip(it's like some performance one the original leaser got put in) and basically there's an error it's giving off, so I need a new one, have any of you had this problem before with needing a new chip? And gm discontinued the original chip so we need another aftermarket one

There are several people here who can do a chip for your 86. I am sure someone will be along soon. I strongly suggest you stay clear of the commercial chips if at all possible. Most who try them are not happy.
