conv. hatch issue?

conv. hatch issue?
Hi. I am new here and have done a ton of reading on this forum. Very informative to say the least. Not my first Vette, but this one is my first conv. Every Camaro, Trans Am, or Vette I've ever owned has had its fair sahe of squeaks and rattles which I'm used to, but this problem can probably be corrected. The conv. hatch on this car sits flush on the drivers side but not on the pass. side and I know it is the source of the annoying rattle noise when driving. So I took a picture, granted it's hard to really see what I'm talking about but it does not sit all the way down like the other side does with the top up or down. I checked the latch which seems to be fine, put a little white lithium grease on both of them just to do it. Has anyone else had this problem or is it just an inherant design flaw that other conv. Vettes may have? Any help or insight greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It definitely should sit flush. Are you sure that that the right side latch is even fully engaged? If it is, there must be something to adjust. Mine is good, so I've never looked for wear or adjustment points.

The latch can be adjusted up or down. There is also a threaded bumper that needs to be adjusted along with the latch to set the correct height of the lid.
