I am getting ready to replace the outer window seals on my 84. I have done the search for them and downloaded a couple sets of instructions to do this repair. I am also going to replace the door weatherstrips as well. My question on weatherstrip for the door is any glue needed for these? I was wondering if the screw and the push pins are enough to hold them in place, or has anybody used the weatherstrip glue for this? Thanks for any help...
Just clear things up. I know the windows seals require no glue, I was referring to the door weatherstrip requiring any glue.

I just replaced all my weatherstripping around the doors last month..
BTW: I bought them on ebay for about 1/3 the price of the vette places and they worked and fitted perfectly.
I did put a thin layer of glue around mine, although it probably would have held without it. The old weatherstrip had glue so i just followed suit.
very easy to put on, but you have to remove the door panels.
if your weatherstrip is really old (most likely), a heat gun is really a must to get the old plugs out. you can buy a cheap one at walmart for $20. you will find the old weatherstrip will just seperate from the plugs so you will have the plugs in the hole. Needle nose pliers and heat gun they will pop right out.
Your doors might also be alittle tough to close for a few weeks while the weatherstrip compresses.. i put a little silicone spray on it to help.
