Minimizing Windshield Wiper Marks.....

i have some minor windshield wiper marks on my 92 that I would like to work on. I have seen a number of solutions and have also thought about going to an auto glass shop.

who has tried to DIY and what process did your use ? any other suggestions are appreciated......

eastwood sells a kit ,its about $70 ,works really well.

Go to a glass shop and ask for pumice and a polishing block. Cost me under ten dollars, takes a good hour to polish your windshield.

Does polishing the windshield get rid of the tiny little pits in the glass that are probably caused by wind blown sand? I can only see these pits when the sun is shining almost directly into the windshield. Also, Is there any way a klutz like me could damage my windshield by trying to polish it using your pumice and polishing block method?
