Here's the deal. About 6 months ago the drivers side headlight quit turning properly. Ordered the new bushings and fixed the problem. This was not a hard job. Being cheap , I failed to order 2 sets of bushings at the same time , sooooo now the passenger headlight is giving me problems. Amazing huh? I ordered a set of bushings from ebay and started to replace them. THEY DON'T FIT. I chalked it up to being dumb for not ordering from a "Corvette" supplier. Sooooo, I order a set from a very reputable Corvette suplier. Guess what. THEY DON'T FIT EITHER! Has anyone else had a problem with the bushings or do I need to "massage" the bushings or what? Thanks for any help. Wib PS Car is a 1989

Shame on you for not replacing the other side which had the same amount of wear. Its obvious the Corvette gods now hate you. For your penace I suggest lightly sanding the chubby Delran bushings until they fit. Go slow so you dont "lightly" sand off too much.
BTW dont feel bad. Life has many challenges sometimes trying to get everything done at once simply sometimes is not an option. Good luck with the project
Goldcylon- I'm quite sure the Corvette God's do hate me as I have cussed Both of my Corvettes many times over the years (one I've owned for over 40 years) The '89 is now being sold after 11 years of ownership and I will miss her. Don't get me wrong...I love Corvettes and always will. It's just at my age and having worked on them for all these many years, if you don' cuss them, you don't love them. Anyway thanks for the sanding advice. As I've done many times... I'll make it work. Take care
Well, after ordering the third set of bushings ( first set from an unknown on fleabay, second set from good recognized Corvette vendor, third set from Forum Sponsor vendor Wilcox) Wilcox came through with a set that fit. There is a very definite visual difference in the size and the ones from Wilcox WILL fit the '89. They slide in with VERY LITTLE effort and work fine. Just a FYI update.

Those same bushings work in Ford Crown Vic windows and are available at advance auto
