obdI is still easy to work with and since my dad is a professional mechanic he has the computer and such to analyze it. we do the wrenching for the most part ourselves. I have the shop change my tranny fluids, coolant, etc. but otherwise we wrench in the garage.
Do all my own work. Bought the car to have something to tinker with as it is not my daily driver and more or less a big toy to play around with. I did let the professionals do the paint job though..not my thing to do any type of body work.
I'll do just about anything, until it gets to the internals on the motor and transmission. I yield there to the only other person allowed to touch my car.
Well I voted for 100%. The only time myself or a trusted friend dont' touch it is if we don't have the means of doing whatever it is. Say a R12 recharge or mounting a tire.

The only thing I won't do is auto transmission work and machine work on the engine. I do the assembly work myself. I will even take the trans to the shop, I do the R & R myself.
I am more about 90% of the work myself. Fortunately I have friends who own car dealerships, muffler shops, and garages. I get all the tools and things I need without much hassle. Thank God!
I do about 90% of the work myself, and I would do 100% but I don't have the place to do the major stuff. That is one of the faults of living in an apartment.
