Not gonna work...unless you are only 3ft tall and having the bottom of your car at 4ft is going to work for you...and even at that you could not lift your hood while the car was on the lift. :D :D

You want 14+ feet. If you go through the trouble to install a lift, you want to be able to get anything up on it. Higher than 14 is better.

Wrong My celing is 10'9" I can stand under my (bend over a tiny bit)vette, but I have to bend or use a seat on wheels to get under my (Yes I do only have 4' when I get under the Jeep but sometime you have to get by with what you got)Jeep wrangler. I am 6" tall. The garage came with a 10'9" ceiling when I bought it If I was going to build a garage from scratch 14-15', but you can get by with less.

Ceiling 9'8", corvette approx. 45", couple inches corvette to ceiling clearance, ramp thickness 5" = 64" bottom of ramp to floor and about 74" bottom of car to floor.
My garage ceiling is a little higher. If I only had a 9' 8" ceiling I would have a lift. So much better than a floor jack.
