I've been doing a lot of looking around in my car the past few days. Got alot of little things fixed. However, I've come across one problem I don't even know where to begin...
This is a huge mess of wires. You can see all kinds of wires that have been cut, all the butt connectors, and a 10 amp fuse and socket wired in there...
This is what's causing that mess. There's two of these modules. I know these aren't stock are they? They look like aftermarket security alarms...
Here's another thing that I have no clue about...
I'm really stumped on this. They aren't causing any electrical issues, the only problem is they are causing that black trim piece to sag and not line up correctly and it makes this part of the car look really bad.
From: yes that's a diesel on Nascar's track in NH somewhere in taxachusetts
the first black box is an old school alarm. it is spliced into the door & hood triggers plus could also be spliced into the ignition wires for a starter kill switch. The second black box looks like a hard wired radar detector, the 10 amp fuse probably goes to that....
wow , i wouldn't mess with that
try to organize them and get them tight maybe with zip ties
i have a friend that started like that on a 81 trans am
and removed everything ....when he saw the big mess he
never put it together and ended up selling it !
lol^^^ always be prepared to finish a job before you start it.
you could probably carefully remove those accessories and rejoin the wires where cut and spliced. not sure about that corvette marked radar/volume unit...looks like the controller to one of those 1990 style proximity alarms that yells out "Back UP! you are too close" or something like that. or you could restore the functions for a good laugh.
