It would be easiest to just replace the hood. Do you have any other corrosion on the car? Max's Vette stuff, 480-964-0779 would have it out of Arizona.

Huh? Isn't this an issue with the headlight bracket assembly NOT the hood?
that piece doesnt do much except stabilize the bottom of the headlight "U" bracket , you could repair/remake it withoput alot of trouble and it would work/look as new.
The piece is actually the hood support. The part of it pictured really does nothing but support the corners of the hood, and is welded to the hood support. 94-96 vettes don't even bolt the headlights to those two plastic nuts on that piece.
I can see how that might come up with this piece and fiits with my front harness but there aren't any other indicators. Hood hinges in really good shape, bumper support has no detectable corrosion, etc.
