If his car is a turbo and he can drive it well, you may want to watch out. I had a friend that had one that was an 86 944 Turbo totally stock. It would hang dead even with a 87 vette that ran 13.50's. I knew both cars very well.....the vette would take it out of the hole, but the porsche would come on strong....porsche would win on top end.

If it's not a turbo....he hasn't a chance in he11
He must have had unreal boost to beat a 13.50 car.
I've never raced one on the street, but have run with one on a road course when my car was relatively stock (exhaust, K&N). A very quick agile car. Our lap times were within 1/2 a second on a 2.2 mile road course with mine being the quicker car. Of course, it could have been the driver. :D
Keep the race under 1/4 mile and you'll probably beat him with a good hole shot! Any farther than that and your in trouble. I used to race a friend with an 86 944 Turbo when I had my stock 88 4+3. I could take him out of the hole no problem, but he would soon catch and pass me!
I agree with the prior stock four-banger posts. If it's a non-turbo car, he's toast. I spanked a chocolate brown 944 real good about two weeks ago and he even got the jump on me as he merged onto the freeway.
