Default no heater blower

Hi. this has probobly been covered before but I couldn,t find it. Backed my 95 out of the garage and relized that I had no heater blower. This has worked fine since I bought the car 3 months ago. Checked the fuses and can also hear the relay click when I push the fan buttons (manual control not climate control) but nothing. How hard is it to pull and test the blower motor ? please help

Check the connectors going to the Blower Control Module to make sure they are tight and don't have any corrosion.

It's mounted on the Air Box under the hood, passenger side. Right on top.

Default today it works

ok so I get home, all ready to start tearing apart my 95 to figure out why the heater fan isn't working and guess what!! Thats right, I get this big blast of heat straight in my face. Everything is working perfectly. Question: whats up? Why would the fan be dead one day and work fine the next? I went through all the connections last night to be sure they were tight etc. and there was still nothing. Could it be a relay starting to go bad? You guys are all smarter than me, I need some ideas. please!

The blower motor has brushes as it is a d.c. motor and when the brushes are at the end of their life, they become intermittent. The blower motor runs one day and not the next. This could be your problem. On a day the blower won't run, unplug the motor and connect 12v to the motor wires and see if it will run reliably. If so, then the problem is with the motor speed controller.

Thanks for your help. I also noticed a drop in performance of the fan last night while taking the car for a ride (strong at first then weaker air flow after about an hour) so I am also thinking that the fan motor is just "pooping" out after 16 years of use. I am ordering a new one today.
Again - THANKS
