First impression of the Nitto NT555s is a good one. I put these tires on yesterday and I must say I'm impressed. I was replacing a set of BFG G-Force tires. I was apprehensive about the Nittos at first because of their low price. However, they came highly reccommended by a trusted friend. I'm not sure how they compare against other tires, but they are quiet, sticky, and have a pretty stiff sidewall.
I imagine they won't wear very well, but at 6k miles per year I'm not too concerned about tread wear.

Bought a full set of Nittos last year for my LT4, then drove Route 66 on 'em without any issues or concerns. Great tires, great prices.
I replaced my Goodyear Eagles, that after only 4 years weather checked so bad I didn't trust even a drive into town. (sold them to a new C4 owner who wanted them for a garage queen )
Car gets about 5k miles annually, and the occasional road trip, so I expect these to last AT LEAST as long as Eagles, and at half the cost.
Fall of 2010 put on Nitto Extreme ZR NT555 315 / 35ZR / 17 rear tires. Wanted Goodyear F1's but just could not justify the expense of $400 / Goodyear tire, also there were not any available until Goodyear made another production run. So far I like the Nitto's. They ride fine and seem to have good grip. Question: What do you guys recommend for air pressure with Nitto. I am about 32 psi. Let me know. Thanks
I'm at 33 psi as well. So far, I must say, I love the way these tires feel. Very sticky and quiet. Treadwear might suck, I don't know, but everything else feels great.
Love my NT555s. Put 285/40/17s all around in January then took it on a 1000mi road trip to San Diego a week later. Performed flawlessly! Have put another 4000 since then. Great tires!
I had to make a quick decision this morning when I was having Bilstein HD's installed and discovered the inside shoulders of both front Goodyear F1's chewed up from a bad alignment. Decided to replace them with Nitto NT555's.
The ride, noise, and overall feel is significantly improved over the runflats. So far, I'm very favorably impressed, but haven't had the opportunity to push them yet to get an all-around impression. For now, I would have to say they seem to be a great tire for the $$$ ($206 per tire out the door).
If you're considering the NT555's keep in mind that they're a W (168 mph) speed rating vs. Y (186 mph -- OEM F1's).
I put them on my 1993, when I could not get goodyears.
They are very nice tires. I got caught in the rain a few times
And the rear end is a bit twitchy at times. The goodyears
Stuck no matter what. I am just a bit more mindful when caught
in the rain.
