Door Sill Carpet Question

The carpet R&R is going slowly, but at least Im making a little progress. Pretty sure I wont be replacing carpet anytime soon (if ever)
Anyhoo, on to the door sills. No problem removing the speaker grills, rubber edging and the carpet itself.
Wondering what to do with the metal grommets that are in the sides. I could grind them off, but I would like to replace them if possible. (Im picky) Whats a good replacement? Any ideas?
whoever has replaced their carpet, how did you handle the metal grommets?
