cinstalling carpet on door...
ok... while i was reading your remarks on the ease (or non ease) of placing these strips on the door
I had the wonderful idea of having the whole door done with a good quality faux leather.(maybe still have the carpet on the bottom.)
Just to give it a more luxurious interior than the plastic .
What do you guys think? worth putting custom door panels on an old 87?
plan on keeping her for at least 3 -4 more years.

you know what i didn't even think about that... maybe if we could get some pics by anybody that has done something similar?

ok since nooone has placed any pics am i to assume that i would be first in the attempt to put a leather like material on the door? :eek:

Gimme a sec... I did the roof bow in white leather, the carpeted panels in white leather, and am doing the carpeted door panel in white leather right now. Looks awesome. I'll find a pic ....

I've got $1500 just in leather (Bought the skins myself, so as to get exactly the grade I wanted.). After labor, the seats were $1000. The only thing I'm not doing that has yet to be finished is the door panels, and I'm guessing another $750 - $1000 for them.
