I have one at home that I bought off ebay a while back, just havent gotten around to installing it. With my lack of interest in my vettes lately, I may never install it. How much you looking to spend on it, I will take a pic of it when I get home. If memory serves me correct, it is actually two pieces.
Thanks for the reply. How are the 2 pieces split? It would be nice if I can still use my cluster and not swap one in with a new mileage. If it's just a couple of red panels/lenses, maybe I can make it work. Either way, can it be installed in my LT1 'vette? My cluster is the 6,000 rpm version, with the 5,500 redline.
PS - with some more research, i found the article where I got the pic from:
They are two pieces meaining that on each side of the digi display has 1 piece. They are adhesive backed and I assume that they just stick on over what is there. Like I said, I have not dug into my dash to see how they go in there. There is no cluster swap either, just a simple overaly I assume.
I did look for these for quite some time and finally found them and paid a pretty penny for them.
They are 8K tach too. I will get some pics later hopefully.
Those look pretty good.
But a word of caution to the OP. These overlays are not going to turn his 6k tach into an 8k tach.
The overlay pictured is designed to be used with the 8k tach on the ZR1 and LT4 cars.
It will probably fit his LT1 cluster, but I don't see how the tach would be accurate.

Guys, I dont know who makes them. I do know that they have not been made for quite some time. I was on the hunt for a number of years looking for them when I saw them in a magazine as well. I finally found them a few years ago and this was the only set I had ever seen for sale and this is the only set I have ever seen since. They came with no instructions, but should be an easy install.
IMO, this would be the finishing touch on my all torch red interior for the GS. It is originally a red gutted car, I just replaced all the carpet and trim with torch red pieces and removed any black from the interior. I do know that I have lost some interest in both of my vettes as of late, but I am not sure I am ready to part with these just yet.
Let me know your thoughts and possibly we can come to a deal of some sort.
Yeah, I thought about that issue. I would have to swap in a new cluster anyways. 2 questions:
1) is the 8k cluster as simple as plug'n'play? no splicing?
2) will this new cluster (from a used car) reflect that car's mileage or my own? I need to retain my mileage, which is currently 56,672.
Most Odometers in Clusters are interchangeable. They do this on purpose so that if you have to change a cluster out it will not be TMU. In the few clusters I've had to swap, the odometers were easy to change out.
That being said, I have never taken a cluster out of a C4 so I don't know for certain.
