Hey Mohammed_z, I am doing a similar swap right now. The only difference is I am swapping a 4+3 to the T56. You will need the T56 conversion kit from Prostreetcustoms. I don't know them personally. I ordered mine the other day, I received a e-mail from them saying it would be shipped out next week. You may also need to cut the transmission tunnel to get it to fit properly, I am not sure about the later C4's. I don't think I can help you with measurements because I would assume the auto's are different. Your swap will be a lot easier then mine because you have the LT1. Good luck with your swap and keep us updated! If I can do anything to help PM me.
it would be great to have the kit to avoid getting in trouble , I did a lot of searches to compare between the zf6 and t56. both are great transmissions...Yet I didn't make up my mind on which one to choose.
Yes, the kit is $150 + $25 shipping (although not sure what he would charge to ship to you).

tell me why you didnt go with the zf6 ?
and how far did you get in your swap
I have just started gathering parts. Right now I am PMing and searching LS1LT1tech for a t56. I thought I had one from a buddy of mine cheap, but he was offered a good amount for his car as a whole. I choose to go with the T56 for 2 reasons.
1. The cost of doing the entire T56 swap is going to cost me around what I would have to pay for just the ZF6. Also if I blow it up parts and repair are really expensive for the ZF6
2. Most of the post I have read complain about an annoying noise coming from the ZF6. The last thing I want to do is spend all of my time and money on a swap that makes noise when it is done. I am a perfectionist and that would annoy the crap out of me.
I am planning on starting this next sunday. Hopefully I will have this done in about a week of working a couple of hours a day.
ok dude , just let me know when you get the conversion kit and take some pics.
No problem, I am guessing I will get them Thurs or Fri. PM me your E-Mail address and I will send you a bunch of pics of the kit when I get it.
You know I live very far and I need to make sure everything is ok before I place an order , especially with websites that I didn't deal with before.
If they don't want to ship to you let me know and I will help any way that I can.
also I need to know , what master/slave cylinders, shifter, clutch and flywheel are you going to use ?
I am using my master cylinder, the slave cylinder that comes from the T56 car, I am probably using a Hurst shifter, I am using a stock 4+3 clutch, and the stock 4+3 flywheel. This might change because there were no definite answers regarding what works in the early C4.
I also had to get the McLeod adjustable throwout bearing in order to use most of my stock parts. I don't know if you will need this or not. I got that today, if you want picture of that let me know. I can send you pics of that too.
Here is a link to the thread I started with some T56 info... Not sure if it will be any help to you since you have a LT1 auto.
i would have snapped a few pics of the mount i made for my ls1/t56 mount yesterday when i had it in the air for a oil change/plugs had i seen this earlier. im no pro, but my tremec t56 tail housing does not sit at that goofy angle, my bolts, (trans mount flat area) are parallel to the ground. the shifter was the hardest part for me, since i wanted the trans very high in the tunnel and not hanging down, so i had to cut some of the material to the right of the stock shifter hole. i offset the shifter nearly 2 inches to the left and thought all was well untill i bolted the console back in and realized that reverse was something like 1/4- 1/2 into the (L) side of the front cut holder. after some dremeling and notching all works well, just dont put a soda can in the front cup holder.

would love to see some pics , does the shifter moves up when you shift ?
it does move, a little but its worse now since i added the 4.10s. torque transfer= trying to twist the diff, which leads to it trying to point the c-beam up. after tightening it all up yesterday it feels pretty good again, but ive got a whole different project in mind to put (more) power down to the ground in a safe manner. after my other project. . .LOL
If youre using the Fbody bell/TO bearing youll probably need the Centerforce/Mccleod FW/Clutch setup to adapt your 2 piece rms block to the 1 piece FW. Think Carolina Clutch sells a setup too.
