"How fast does it go?" :)
I never get tired of this question when I get asked by kids. I had three kids, probably about 10, come running up to my car at a car-show. One of them said, "Wow, is this your car?" I said yes, and his next question, "Is it fast?" Not wanting to corrupt tomorrow's youth, I said, "Its pretty fast. :) "
The other little kid says, "Hey, how fast? What number?" I told him that it has no problem doing 75 on the freeway. :)
Mom thanked me a few seconds later. :)

There are so many people out there who only know what they've read in magazines and think that there is no other way. That really annoys me when someone says something like "well I read where the such and such ran a 12.9 and your car ran a 13.0, that car will beat yours", blah blah. :boxing Get some real world experience and then talk to me :). :crazy:

just the other day during a break in lectures at school a friend of mine walks up to me and says, "So you got a Corvette huh?" i said, "yeah." hes like, "what year and how many horsepower?" i said, "1989 and 245-250HP." hes like, "What? no man i know you got 300-350, cuz the camaro ss has like 325!" i said, "umm my cars an 89... the camaro ss you talk about must be something newer than that." he insisted, "no i think you got it all wrong, all corvettes are like 345 HP." i couldn't stop laughing now cuz he was telling me that he knew more about my car than i did. so finally after another 15 seconds of babbling he was convinced that he was wrong when he said, "the new corvette is 405HP!" i said, "umm yeah the z06" then i gave em a lil history lesson and he shuttup and walked away dumbfounded.
i love when they try to act all smart around an enthusiast but just make an azz of themselves. :lol:

I agree on the correct answer...as I used to tell it like I know it and nobody believed me...
I keep forgetting many of these folks are the same as the fellow who asked me if it had a 6 cylinder... :eek:
