I am pretty sure mine looks like yours anyways, since the roads here in Chicago has more if not the same amount of junk on it as NY does

I found butts, leaves, a WalMart bag, and one of those huge Sonic Route 44 cups in my '94 - removal of these solved my overheating problems. I reckon the cup got flattened on the road and found its way in there. Nasty.
My '96 (which came out of North Texas) had clumps of hay, grass clippings, and a Winston cigarette pack in it. Wish I had taken pics of these, no one but other C4 drivers believe me when I tell them...
