Default Need help overheating

Hi i just bought a 95 vette overheats asap, maybe 3 miles before it hits 260!!!! I think the water pump is not sniping since i took of the thermostat to see if it was bad then cranked it with no thermo and no splashing water came out

You should have been given a bath. Check for full amount of coolant because removing the thermostat housing results in coolant flowing. Looking into the radiator filler, engine off won't tell you squat. Rotate rad cap to first stop, let engine warm up to opening temp of stat, open rad cap and race engine. You should see coolant flowing into the rad with no coolant drop. If you have insufficient coolant, coolant will go out of sight when you race the engine. Engine racing, pour coolant into the rad filler, close rad cap and then let the engine back to idle.
If the water pump isn't pumping you won't see coolant flow into the rad when you race the engine.

Don't forget with the LT1 you need to burp the system after refilling it.
