Default any thoughts or advice?

Taking original ZR tires off 89 convertible with 25000 miles due to some dry rot! Should I save them or let them go? They still look good with lots of tread, but I'll probably never have need of them again.

I know the Vette is good to go anywhere, but things do break. Old tires on the other hand can kill you.

Unless you NCRS I wouldn't, sell them to someone going through the NCRS process and use the extra $$'s on the vette.

I just junked my original GY Eagles with 8/32nds of tread depth. They had no weather checking but they were hard as rocks. My new BFG G-Force Sports are MUCH stickier.
I'd say toss them unless you know someone who wants them for a show car. I almost sold my rears to a guy in NJ but he hesitated and they got recycled.

Save them on their original wheels & purchase some new wheels with new high performance rubber for daily use. This way if you ever decide to show the car or take it through the NCRS, AACA or Bloomington Gold process, you won't have to spend a fortune to get there.

Thanks for the input, I think I'll store them for awhile longer. Better safe than sorry, if I should ever decided to go the show route!
