Default Knock sensor?

Hi all
I have a 94 LT-1.My question is about what I think might be a knock sensor connector.when I first bought the car I noticed a loose brown wire attached to a connector and pluged into a white connector. It is located right side of engine toward the rear of the exhaust manifold.short of trying to stick my head in a very tight area, I can not see were the knock sensor is.The white connector has a hex nut lip cast into it with two pins.almost looks like the open round top end is broken off.not sure why I can't attach a picture.

Thanks Jack.I think I'm looking at something else though.Reason I'm looking for trouble is I have had the car stored for three years.I just started it after replacing the old gas, along with the sending unit, fuel pump.seems that it will misfire until it warms up.This is a loud back fire from the corsas when I bring the rpms up when cold. The connector in you picture is the right one,but not the one I have here in my hand.Thank you for your help.
