The drivers side low beam headlight won't come on. Of course, I went out and got a new headlight. I put it in, turned it on and nothing. The high beam on the old headlight and the new one work fine. I've looked at the connections and the fuses but everything looks normal. What am I missing? I would really appreciate someone's insight. I'm not big on giving the cops any more of a reason to pull me over. So I have to figure this out relatively soon. Thank you.

I got the same problem but, the other way around. The high/low beam mechanism broke few years ago and only the low-beam works. Its made out of the great C4 plastic.
Had the same problem with pass side low beam. Thought the bulb was out so I went to all the trouble to remove it before I OHM'ed it. The bulb checked good. Then I started checking the voltage in the wire with a needle through the insulation. Voltage was there in the wire but not at the plug on the low beam. Pulled the connector out of the plastic plug and it was corroded where the wire went into the plug. Stripped the wire back and cleaned and resoldered the brass connector on the wire and put it back in the plug. Now both High and low beams work OK.
Thank you Klondike. I appreciate your input. I'll try that and hopefully breathe a sigh of relief. I truly don't need another issue right now. My mystery coolant leak is enough for me to try to figure out.
The above post sounds right. I've got a 1995 FSM and it shows a tan wire going to both low beams. They both come from the same place so if 1 works the other should. There's only 2 plugs in the whole circuit and the one at the headlight is the most problematic. Good luck.
Hey Klondike!! Great news! You hit it on the nose! When I put in the new headlight I didn't see any problems with the connector so I didn't think to recheck it until I read your reply. When I took it back apart and looked, sure as hell, one of the three wires going into the connector had completely broke off. So I stripped it and crimped it back into the connector, plugged the bulb back in and.....I HAVE BOTH LOW AND HIGH BEAMS AGAIN!!!! Thank you very much for your help and not making me feel like a girl that should leave the hood down.
