Default Corbeau a4 Seats

I am thinking of buying a pair of corbeau a4s. Im wondering if they are as comfortable as the stock seats and if the head rest cover your entire head. on my stock seats my head is above the head rest and since there is a roll bar behind that...it would be bad to get in an accident. Advice and input would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

there is a vender in the forsale section that sells them with free shipping, you might ask him, he's pretty familiar about his product

wow im adding a4's to my considered seats. iv narrowed it down to corbeau's a4 or forza's, or some recaros but i have to look at the recaros to see if they will fit. i want something light, so thats why im considering the forza's. however, i think theyre 20.5" wide so im not sure if they would squeeze into a c4

ya the c4's are really tight, so we're limited on what aftermarket seats we can put in.

A4's are a super tight fit. They are considerably lower than stock when the Corbeau rails are used. Comfort is a subjective judgement, not as cushionney as stock but hold you in place better. Wouldn't mind a day long trip.

i love my sport seats but they need to be recovered and thats crazy $$$. plus theyre heavy as HELL!. id say 60-80 lbs a piece. a nice 20 pound seats would be roughly 100 pounds gone. i dont need electronic adjustments and bladder controls or leather

I weighed my 93 sport seats once and got about 46 lbs per seat.
Note that weight includes the brackets which are the heaviest parts.

Im told the Corbeau's weigh 24 lbs per seat.

HOWEVER...Im not sure if that weight includes the bracket or not.

If not, then you may not get the weight savings you anticipate once you factor in the bracket.

Im not sure if someone makes a 'billet' bracket or something to adapt these to our c4.

I saw a post on the c5 section where someone thought corbeau might have 'added' weight.

Maybe the supporting vendor on here can answer the question about weight and also if he has a bracket to mount corbeau a4 to a c4 / how much weight the bracket adds.

Maybe Im wrong and the 24 lbs per seat (commonly shown for corbeau a4) includes the bracket.

correct me if im wrong, but i believe 93's sport seats are different from 94-96. my 94 are the same ones in the grand sports and such. iv heard the weight quoted at 60-80 pounds and after having them out a few times i can believe it

I believe that someone on here mentioned that you lose some front to back seat sliding adjustment on the C4 with the A4. You also have to reverse the driver and passenger seats due to the seat lever or ****.
I think the seat forward sliding may not be far enought for shorter drivers. Also the seat electric motors dont fit either, so you lose that as well.

id love it if my seats weighed that much because that would be a heck of an improvement.

yeah, the 94+ got rid of the wraparound 'fighter jet' style seats in favor of the prone-to-seam bust 'fat mans chairs' to compensate for the changing demographic of the typical corvette owner.

wouldnt surprise me if they too (the seats) gained in weight vs. the earlier 84-93 style seats.
