Only if they don't sit flat which mine doesn't.
Mine are sticking up up slightly near the speaker grills.
Not real bad, but enough to bug me.
I need to remove it and put some double backed adhesive tape on it.

Can't see them in these pictures though.

looks nice from what I see.
Any chance you can post a picture of the spaeaker problem.
Better off using double sided tape to begin with?

I don't have any pictures of the grills right now, but I'll try to post some up later.

I bought the car with the cap already on, so it might be that the PO just didn't install
it correctly.

Double sided tape should fix it though.

Like I said, it's not real bad.

what do the edges look like where the speakers are. I assume they aren't raw edges. Do the round down toward the cloth or something.

Absolutely hate having to go this route or the more expensive of replacing the pad.

I recovered mine in vinyl and I love it. Problem is, I have to wash the windshield almost every day. The crap that stuff gives of is terrible.

Bought a dash cap. At first the cap did not fit tight near the speaker cut outs. After a few more years the sun's heat distorted this area even more. If you have the money, get a new dash pad. The cap was a great quick fix when I did it 7 years ago. The new pad is $450 at least.

I have one, looks OK. Secret is getting one on correctly with enough glue in the correct places, namely all over. Otherwise you will have hills, valleys and lose spots.

I have one on my 89 and it looks pretty good, no one can tell its there unless I point it out.. I would like to get a new dash pad but it kills me spending the $400.00 when the cap looks this good.....WW

I have read on here that the new dash pads do not look that great. I am not opposed to spending the money, however if I am spending $500.00, I want it to look right.
Any responses from those who have them?

I think you mean dash pad caps, which are about $100.
New dash pads look like original as far as I know
