On my C4 the left head light makes a clicking noise when it reaches he top, coming from the motor. I stops clicking after about 8-10 clicks. And the clicks repeat when It door goes to the close position. The right light does not open. That might be a bad motor. Can anyone give me some tips on the clicking and how to check the right motor.

Not sure what year your car is but my 93 did pretty much the same thing and I replaced the three bushings in both sides and that solved the problem. The headlight thats not going up could be the motor but you should be able to tell if the motor is running or not. If it is and not flipping up then it could be the gears or the bushings. On my car there was a pile of white dust under each headlight and that was the old bushings disintegrating into powder. Pulling the headlight buckets out for a fix isn't a big job but it does take a little time the first time you do it.

# 3069987278 is a partial HD number. might have a couple zeros in front. also advance auto has them under "ford pwr window bushings." apparently just a common bushing in car industry.

As far as the right motor goes, always check for power and ground before replacing parts. Could be a bad connection. good luck
Just eplaced plastic gears and bushing on my 89. I removed the whole light unit on both sides. first one took about four hrs, second one took 40 minutes, piece of cake, got everything from ecklers.
Hi Joe,
This is Maxo, once again you gave me a thread from a guy who posted the pictures of how to replace the headlight bushings. I was wondering if you could be so kind to take the time once more to resend it to me. I checked on the sticky you forwarded but the head light replacement is not there or I dont seem to find it. It's winter and I plan to tear into the headlights and replace the bushings and or gears. Your help is appreciated.
